Cooperation learning, as one of the mainstream mode of education revolution around the world, is getting higher and higher attention. It plays an important role in the implementation of the new curricula. Cooperative learning, as one of three main learning methods, gradually gets more emphasis and is employed in education and teaching instruction. Many research results have been done in this field. But surveying the previous research findings , many studies centered on the prosperous areas. There are few researches conducted in the relatively impoverished regions. Correlating the features of physics instuction in junior secondary school, this study aimed to investigate the current situation of cooperation learning in junior middle schools in relatively impoverished district of Guang'an in Sichuan province. It also attempted to find out the main factors influencing the cooperative learning, then put forward the corresponding suggestions on it.The following aspects was conducted to explore the status quo of cooperative learning on physics in junior middle school:Firstly, the relevant literature were reviewed on cooperative learning. The theoratical foundations were based on the motivation theory, the development of cognition theory, group dynamics theory, Morsloc's hierachy of needs theory.Next, a survey and research work were carried out on the status quo of cooperative learning of physics in junior middle school in guang'an, including questionnire, classroom observation and personal interview.(1) on questionnaire: choose the subjects, design the questionnaire and analyze the reliability and validity of the questionaire. The data collected were analyzed with SPSS 17.0. (2) on classroom observation: some teachers'and students'opinions are covert. An insightful knowledge can be obtained by the use of classroom observation. (3) on personal interview, questionnaire did not involve teacher training, teachers'or students'idea on the cooperative learning, so this way can be a complement to questionnaire. The main conclusions can be drawn as follows: (1) the teachers'cooperative skill is not high and they have poor skill in managing the cooperative class.(2) The students also have poor capability in cooperative learning (3) Other subjective conditions such as: students'parents, the leader of school, teaching evaluation, campus culture and objective condition such as teaching resources can also exert influence on cooperative learning of physics. Finally, Aiming at these problems found in the research, the study put forward some ways to deal with the current situation of cooperation learning in physics in junior middle school from the aspects of teacher, students, the leader of school, students'parents and rural middle school.(1) Regarding teachers: cultivate the theory of cooperative learning, enhance the minds of theory, value the training of cooperative skills, enhance their accademic degree.(2) Regarding the students: establish mutual help among classmates, set up cooperative group community, value the training of the cooperative skills(3) Regarding the leaders in school: put more emphasis on the cooperative learning, reform the existed evaluation system, consider the process rating.(4) Regarding the students'parents: increase the exchange between teacher and teachers, invite the parents to attend the observe lesson, encourage their children to exchange more with their classmates.(5) Regarding the rural school, getting the experiences from the other successful schools, transfom their old teaching strcuture, motivate the students to interact with teachers, hold more self-confidence to themselves and the teachers.
