It brings the rapid changes to human life and also lead to the profound reform in the field of education. In such background, the traditional concept, mode and content of the ideological and political education can not adapt to the content of network-based environment. The changes on the outlook of life, world and values of contemporary students, which caused by information network dissemination, put forward new requirements for ideological and political education in university. Ideological and political education, especially ideological and political education in the network environment, is also faced with numerous opportunities and challenges. This requires the main part of the management as well as the actual educators to renew their concept and regard the internet as propaganda position with the advantages of network resource. And therefore they can effectively delivers the information of ideological and political education through network to each student. And students are instructed to proceed with self-shaping and all round development. Since the existence of network development is not long in our country, the current ideological and political education in university is still in the promising stage. However, there are still many inadequacies. Therefore, relying on the elementary theory of the ideological and political education, this thesis analyses the origin, development and existing problems of present ideological and political education in the university on the basis of analysis, synthesize and generalization. This thesis also discusses the new measures to strengthen the educational administration of ideological and political education about the network in the university and put forth relative countermeasures and suggestions from the angles of management, psychology and pedagogy.
