The naturalistic education thought goes back to ancient times: as early as in the ancient Greece time the naturalistic education thought had appeared in some philosopher's education thought, and it had been elaborated in China's Spring and Autumn Period Warring States time. The naturalistic education thought holds the important status in the China and West's education thought, but we tend to ignore the naturalistic education thought in the real practice of education. Some questions of education have been perplexing us, this dissertation attempts to answers these questions through comparing Wang Yang-ming's and Rousseau's naturalistic education thought.Wang Yang-ming (1472-1528) and Rousseau (1712-1778) are two great people in the world. Their own personality, the moral behavior as well as the ideological theory have left behind the rich spiritual inheritance for the later generation. This dissertation hopes to obtain the beneficial enlightenment through comparing their naturalistic education thought. The dissertation paper is mainly composed of four parts: The first part generally introduces China and West's naturalistic education thought evolution and Wang Yang-ming's and Rousseau's naturalistic education thought. The second part is carries on the comparison and the analysis to Wang Yang-ming's and Rousseau's naturalistic education thought. Wang Yang-ming's and Rousseau's naturalistic education thought produces in the different region and the different time, but their thought has many similarities: To criticize education for twisting and constraining the human nature at that time; Both naturalistic education take its philosophic thinking as a foundation; Both attach important to education function; Both naturalistic education philosophy's connotation is similar, namely the education needs to comply with the child's age feature and progress step by step in an orderly way, the education needs to rest on child's individual characteristic and teaches students in accordance with their aptitude; Both advocated that students receive various harmonious education; The teachers and students relations' understanding is similar in both naturalistic education philosophy, namely establishing the democracy, the equal relations between the teachers and students. Certainly, the two's thought also has the obvious difference, because it produces in the different politics, the economy, the cultural condition: Education have different goals - sage and natural person; The educational way is different -innermost understanding, discussing and lecturing, and studying directly from the nature(object teaching); Education has different implementation place - school in real life and village natural environment; The dividing the educational age is different-having no dividing the educational age and having dividing the educational age; The understanding of labor education is different - having no labor education and having labor education ; The implementation of moral education time is different -moral education is run though all one's life and moral education is implemented in specific time. The third part probe into the reason, which had caused difference between Wang Yang-ming's and Rousseau's naturalistic education thought ,from the cultural tradition, the social politics and economic environment, the family background .The fourth part discusses the enlightenment in the above foundation: The teaching values is established on the basis of the development of student; Take student as the book, to seek the fusion between the discipline curriculum and the activity curriculum; Establishing the democracy, equality, and harmonious relations between teachers and students. Our country current new round educational reform can draw lessons from the naturalistic education thought, but we should also note the flaw which it exists, so we can develop strong points and avoid weak points, and serves well for our country's education.
