A Study On Problems And Countermeasures For Academic Power Operation In Colleges And Universities

In the field of education,importance was attached to authority and academic power in colleges and universities recently,which was also an internal demand for deepening the reform of higher education system in theory and practice.Based on previous research,the author argued that the middle bound concept of academic power colleges and universities was much more in line with Chinese higher education practice and Chinese scholars' cognitive habits,So,academic power in colleges and universities is defined as influence,authority and controlling power owned by academic staff and academic organizations when they do something with academic affairs on the basis of their professional expertise and academic ability.According to the concept of academic power,this study investigate current situation of this academic power operation, problems,its reasons,its solutions and so on.This article contains four parts.The first part(Preface) mainly includes the questions proposed,the significance of this research,the related concepts,the existing research,and the ideas and methods in this research.The second part(Chapter I) is mainly theoretical analysis,which is rationality of academic power's existence,the value of the academic power and so on.The third part(Chapter II) mainly concludes the study of academic power operation status,and through the analysis of survey data to identify existent problems.Such as experience gained in academic power operation, problems,causes and so on.The fourth part(Chapter III) puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to resolve those problems according to earlier theoretical analysis,and points out the direction and focus of academic power.This study mainly collected data through literature,investigation and interview.
