Study On Maturity Stage Of Discipline

Discipline construction is common choice of the high level university development. How to construct the discipline is still the big problem which we need to think about. The maturity stage is the highest level in the growth life cycle of discipline which can be divided into four stages. The maturity stage character of discipline organization can be used as the standard to judge the different development stage, and then we can adopt different development strategy for discipline in different stages. And it also can be used as the target of the discipline construction and the standard of the discipline valuations.First, the paper defined the concept of the discipline, and pointed out that similar to enterprise, it has the life character and matches the life cycle theories.
