Meta-learning is the concrete embodiment of Meta-cognition in the study.It is the awareness and control of the learning process and the known of state and results such as the motives and behavior, cognition and emotion,skill and determination in the learning activities.Previous studies show that meta-learning plays very important role in students' learning and it is a hotspot in educational psychology.In this study,on the basis of theoretical analysis,the researcher building a structure of Meta-learning ability of college students,and develop the standardized "questionnaire of Meta-learning ability of college students". The research tool is "questionnaire of Meta-learning ability of college students" and the subjects is 940 college students from five private colleges in Nanjing,Jiangxi,Shandong,Zhejiang.The subjects were taken using a stratified random sampling method,and when the test was carried on the class was the unit,and the unified instruction was used.The results showed that:1.The self-designed scale "questionnaire of Meta-learning ability of college students" includes 3 dimensions:Meta-learning Knowledge,Meta-learning Regulating and Meta-learning Experience.The statistical analysis indicates,the Alpha reliability Coefficients of the entire questionnaire is 0.8921 and the Split-half reliability Coefficients is 0.8611.The Alpha reliability Coefficients of 3 dimensions respectively is 0.8921,0.9283,0.8107 and the Split-half reliability Coefficients respectively is 0.8168,0.8967,0.8392.The reliability is good,and the content validity and the structure validity are good.2.Univariate analysis results show that the significant difference between gender has been found in Meta-learning ability,Meta-learning Knowledge and Meta-learning Experience,and males is higher than females;the significant difference among majors has been found in Meta-learning ability,Meta-learning Knowledge and Meta-learning Regulating,and arts students and science students are significant lower than engineering students in Meta-learning ability and Meta-learning Regulating,but arts students and science students is significant higher than engineering students and science students;the significant difference among grades has been found in Meta-learning Knowledge and Meta-learning Experience.3.Univariate analysis results show that the significant interaction between grade and major has been found in Meta-learning ability,Meta-learning Knowledge and Meta-learning Regulating,significant interaction between grade and gender,major and gender has been found in Meta-learning Experience.4.The significant difference between students of Private college founded by public college and students of ordinary private college has been found in Meta-learning ability and Meta-learning Knowledge.The conclusions show that:1.The reliability and validity of the "questionnaire of Meta-learning ability of college students" is high.It includes 3 dimensions:Meta-learning Knowledge,Meta-learning Regulating and Meta-learning Experience.Meta-learning Regulating is the most important part of Meta-learning ability.2.Private college students have the insufficiency in Meta-learning ability as well as in each dimension,and this tendency also obviously exists in the different sex level and grade level.3.Along with the grade elevation,the students of different major present the different trend of development in Meta-learning ability,Meta-learning Knowledge,Meta-learning Regulating,the students of different major present the different trend of development in Meta-learning Experience.The influence of major on students of different sex is different in Meta-learning Experience.Sophomores are a crucial period of meta-learning development.4.Students of Private college founded by public college is higher than students of ordinary private college in Meta-learning ability.
