Reseach On Correlation Mechanism Among Education, Natural Resource And Economic Development In Karst-geographical Counties Of Guangxi

Karst counties of Guangxi are located in the southwest of China. With its own unique geology and hydrology, especially because of corroding by the karst landforms, Karst counties have become the ecologically fragile areas. However, in the process of economic development, unreasonable ways of resources exploitation have further deteriorated the fragile environment, which in turn has threatened the further sustainable economic development. To further boost economic development, the old growth mode must be fundamentally changed, overall resource outlook must be adopted and the human resource must be valued.Based on Empirical Analysis of the connection among education, natural resources and economic growth, this paper dedicates enabling people deeply understand the interrelation between the county's economic growth and all kind of resources so that we can provide both operational and theoretical guidance to push sustainable development in karst Counties.Firstly, we have described correlation among education, natural resources and economic growth both at home and abroad. Resource outlook refers to the people's perception on the idea and the role of resources. By comparing the outlook of the old and new resources and explaining the correlation between resources and economic development we found that people's cognition of resources has experienced a duration from natural resources to economic resources and finally to social resources. The outlook of resource has been enormously enhanced accordingly.Secondly, on the basis of the theoretical analysis and combining the practice of karst region's economic background, we comprehensively analyzed the reasons for lag behind of economic development and the capacity for sustainable development. We found by analyzing, that in a serious shortage of arable lands and under the condition that other economic and social resource are not yet exploited , the population explosion resulted in the abuse of land resources which has violated the laws of nature. It has made the ecological environment continue to degrade. Due to inadequate modern resource elements in economic development, the real contradiction is that the county karst fragile ecological environment can't support accelerated economic development.Finally, by using Panel Data Model we have made an empirical analysis of the long-run dynamic correlation between economic development natural resources exploitation and education development. Through the analysis on such correlation, we found: firstly, land resources have been keeping a delicate correspondence with economic development; Secondly, the education contribution to economy growth is feeble which has illustrated that the economic growth mode is currently depending on extensive exploitation instead of on human resources or other modern elements. Thirdly, the environmental index have showcased the desertification percentage is below the certain parameters. This means the traditional extensive economic mode doesn't match well with comparable advantage of the Karst County, all of which should catch the heed of local authorities.Conclusion of this paper means lot to the development of Karst counties of Guangxi. Some suggestions on how to promote the sustainable development and speed up the county's economic and social development have been given in the final chapter of this paper. The overall governance of the environment, benign ecological restoration and reasonable, effective use of land must be coordinated with other practical technology and corresponding social measures such as the development of education, scientific and technical guidance, the implementation of the population policy, policy preference. To this end, in order to help people to rid of poverty and live a welfare life, we must change the mode of economic growth and thoroughly implement the population policy. As a provider of public goods,the government should intensify the support of the karst area, expand investments in education, provide scientific and technical guidance and so on through policy preference. Specific proposals are as following: Firstly, we should restructure the traditional agriculture mode by introducing more modern agriculture elements; Secondly, we should protect the ecological environment and reasonably exploit natural resources; Thirdly, we should properly steer the industrial structure upgrading to further consolidate Karst county's economic development; Fourthly, we should increase enhance technical education and vocational education in order to accumulate human resources; Lastly, the government should strengthen its own capability for development via allocating more finance to the Karst county.
