College Enrollment's Ethics Thinking

The college enrollment is the primary link in higher education.The college enrollment has the task to discover and select qualifiedstudents who fully develop in physical fitness, morality and mentalityfor the cause of building socialism. Also it is a systematic work for thecountry to select qualified personnel. As we known, whether we willbe able to do the college enrollment well or not has great significancefor our country. With the contradiction which the higher education islagging and can not satisfy the people's demand to accept highereducation growing, at present our country's college enrollmentappears a series of quite influential corrupt behaviors which overstepthe bounds of ethics. What's worse, in the market economy situation,some systematic systems which are not perfect and some bad moralityhad further encouraged the tendency of these corrupt behaviors todevelop. These questions initiate society's faith crises, destroysociety's stability and unity and harm the national development andnationality's promotion. Therefore we must take all kinds of activemeasures and countermeasures to eliminate these corrupt behaviorswhich overstep the bounds of ethics. For convenience, in thefollowing parts, I use the phrase "the behaviors of violating ethics inthe college enrollment" instead of "corrupt behaviors which overstepthe bounds of ethics".From the relationships among morality and law,humansentiment, the discriminatory behavior, we discriminate three kindscorrupt behaviors in the college enrollment. They are the illegalenrollment, the human sentimental enrollment and the discriminatoryenrollment. At the same time, with the development of society andsome new situations and some new problems appearing, we canforecast other behaviors of violating ethics in the college enrollmentwill become visible, which deserves paying attention to and studying. Kongzi said: "By the politics, even by the punishment, the peopledon't commit crime but are shameless. By morality, even by ritual, thepeople don't commit crime and obey the standard and are shame."From this proverb in Chinese, we can get the enlightenment: It isextremely essential to eliminate the behaviors of violating ethics inthe college enrollment by establishing perfect enrollment systems,policies, and laws and regulations, but it is not extremely insufficient.As long as we establish a kind ethics criterion and moral standard inthe college enrollment, we can prevent corrupt behaviors. The practiceproves that the ethics has played more and more important andprominent role in eliminating the behaviors of violating ethics in thecollege enrollment.There are various reasons why the college enrollment exists thebehaviors of violating ethics. I summarize these reasons from theethics angle: The reasons are that the college enrollment lacks justiceand the moral standard in the college enrollment are not perfect. Canthe college enrollment accomplish justice or establish a kindenrollment ethics? We think the answer to this question is yes. Atpresent, the just theory which is prevalent in the ethics providespowerful and intelligent strength, ideological mobilization and thetheory summons for our college enrollment to accomplish justice; thenational policy "the construction of harmonious society; the strategythat talented person can make nation powerful; and the construction ofinnovative country" which is being implemented by our party andcountry provides powerful and realistic demand, policy safeguard andpractice environment for our college enrollment to accomplish justice.Therefore, we believe the emerging of the ethics in college enrollmentis inevitable.However, we don't satisfy what we have studied. In a great andnarrative way, researchers should have the spirit "Falls to know thefall", investigating the bottom of a thing. When we further analyze the reasons why the college enrollment exists the behaviors of violatingethics, we find there are two questionable points, which we should digdeeply: Firstly, is the social system itself just? "All greatly wickedall because small are wicked", so unfair society's system can result inunfair human affairs; unjust environment can result in unjustbehaviors. Secondly, do human beings have justice and moralexcellence? Because at the beginning any kind of corrupt behaviors isregarded as a kind problem which the system has defects. But finallyit is regarded as a kind problem of human nature, person's moralcharacter and the values. If a good system and perfect laws andregulations are observed by someone who has bad morality, the goodsystem and perfect laws and regulations must become a form of these.We regard the problem of social system and the problem of humannature as the original reason why the college enrollment exists thebehaviors of violating ethics. In this article, I want to try to analyzethe reasons why the college enrollment exists the behaviors ofviolating ethics from the angle of the two problems and come up withsome feasible countermeasures.The basic structure of this article is that: In the introductory partâ… point out the fact that our college enrollment exists ethics problemsand moral problems, which draws out the significance and value ofstudy, the enlightenment and model from the system of foreigncountries' college enrollment and the angle and the structure of study.The main text has three parts. Summarizing thereasons from the ethics angle, I find the main reason is that the justice of social system and people's just concept are deficient. In the thirdpart, I discuss some countermeasures. I try to come up with somecountermeasures to eliminate the behaviors of violating ethics in thecollege enrollment. These countermeasures include constructing a justsociety, establishing a kind just enrollment's system and strengtheningmoral education and moral cultivation of personnel who recruitstudents.
