Research On The Education In The Communities Of The Medium And Small-sized Cities During The Process Of Urbanization

Urbanization is a comprehensive concept. It is the outcome of both the economic accomplishment and the development of civilization. The progress of civilization is most often made in cities, and at the same time, it benefits the development of cities. Education is the most fundamental way to combine the two and make them realized.This paper finds out the importance of education in communities of towns through the perspectives of the construction of civilization in towns and the improvement of laborers' quality; analyzes the motives of developing such kind of education at this period combing both the objective and subjective elements on the basis of the research of the peculiar existence of the communities in towns which enjoys a higher level than that in rural areas in china. After these analyses, this paper finally brings forward a view of the urgent need of the integration of the teaching resources and the establishment and development of schools in communities in towns. Schools in communities of towns just came into being not long ago in China. There are some examples in Shanghai and Beijing which make many people believe that the existence of such schools could only be necessary in communities of big cities. The paper makes feasibility study of the opening of community schools in towns on the basis of analysis of the successful experience in America.The thesis holds the point that schools in communities of towns can play important roles in the integration of the existing teaching resources, the construction of learning society, and the realization of sustainable development of towns. This paper believes that under the domination of government, we can achieve the sustainable development of towns through the actions of absorbing investment, full utilization of teaching resources, regular operation and perfection of diverse formats, concurrently with the development of community schools.
