The first and most important objective of education of the language and literature is to improve comprehensively the student's attainment of language and literature. But its prerequisite is that the language and literature teacher should have better attainment, because a teacher can't shoulder the mission endowed by the new development of the language and literature curriculum of the current times unless he possesses the ability and virtue equal to his tasks and improve and maintain them continuously. The language and literature teacher must first hold the right outlook on the student. That is to say, he should thoroughly study THE CURRICULUM STANDARDS OF LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE, which serves as the important ideological resource of the language and literature education, thus really understanding the student. In addition, he should transfer his opinion on humans so as to understand and respect the student as a true human. Only by this is it possible to develop the education receiver into an independent individual and help foster his or her self-decision and personality.Second, the language and literature teacher must possess the right outlook on the discipline. That is to say ,the language and literature is not a mere course for learning knowledge. The concept of the attainment in the language and literature put forward by the new curriculum standards summarizes the double objectives of the course: on the one hand, the language and literature is an education which lays the foundation for all other educations. Its goal is to foster and train the student to acquire solid basic knowledge and skills and contribute to forming and improving the student's individual language and literature proficiency. That requires that the teacher should possess an open, broad cultural accomplishment and creative, professional ability. On the other hand, the language and literature is an education which influences and foster the student's common cultural accomplishment and virtue. So the influence on the accumulating of cultural psychology, the student's emotions, the guidance to his or her attitudes and the formation of his or her outlook on value have become the core tasks of this course. And with this, it develops the student's quality of humanism, the feeling of humanism, the ideology of humanism and the spirit of humanism such as the pursuit of truth, the creation of beauty and the encouragement of good. For this reason, the teacher should be a person with independent thinking, noble aspiration and passion. He should also be a moral model, a good example of life and study and the embodiment of wisdom. While teaching the language and literature teacher himself acts the roles the navigation mark of the student's soul. Therefore, the teacher must strive to accomplish the roles above.Third, the language and literature teacher facing the perplexity between the reality difficult position and the ideal pursuit. Therefore the language and literature teacher should promote his bourn further, seek a kind of mentality and recognition weapon to keep the psychology balance, cushion his own contradiction and solve the perplexity. The contemporary education values each pupil as a true human. It aims to treat everyone equally and kindly, to make everybody physically strong, mentally healthy and spiritually sound. However, to put this concept into teaching practice it must be based on the language and literature teacher's personal attainment. The practice and improvement of personal attainment must be under the guidance of a totally new outlook on university-life and one on life. It means, in teaching the language and literature, that the teacher must have independent thinking, explore the significance of the existence of the university and the human beings deeply at the university-outlook level so that he can use it to guide his or her own fundamental attitude to people and things and then establish a new type of teaching-learning relationship and cognition relationship which advocate all lives are equal and all men are equal. Only in this way can the teacher of the language and literature carry out the three-dimensional concept and five-dimensional curriculum objectives with a broad universal mind, deep feeling of life and kind care of humans.
