Over-education problem is not newly found, which has not only being existed in developed countries, but also in developing countries. Foreign academy circles, especially for those people in education economics field, has being studied it since the 1970s.Compared with it, over-education problem in our country is much later, it is not paid much attention by native scholars until the problem occurred with the further enrollment of university and the difficulties of graduates' employment. Even if it has being studied, it has at most been based on economics perspective. The thesis based on sociology perspective has, by the ways of studying documents and comparisons, uncovered the results: (一) There is not only economics explanation theory but also sociology explanation theory on over-education phenomenon, the discussion of the multi-subjects will make over-education phenomenon clarified clearly; (二) The thesis has unearthed there has been a certain over-education by the comparison with the education system and the large society system, the inners of education system and micro-layers of those themselves who have received higher education; (三) Social capital theory does not only explain the reason of the over-higher education, but also has its own working room; (四)The results brought out by the over-higher education are multi-aspects, Having analyzed the over-higher education, the author chiefly states that over-education has an effect on educatee,his family,nation and society. We believe the over-higher education problem to be solved is still a big problem, if we can not solve it well, which will affect the fair and right of society and the healthy development of higher education.
