Elementary education is a foundational project in rejuvenating China through science and technology. In the new century, the core task of the reform in elementary education is to carry out quality education, that is, to take the training of the adolescent comprehensive quality as its main goal and to take creative education as its core content.In the reform of elementary education, one of the important steps in promoting the quality education is to speed up the building of a new elementary education curriculum system that suits the demands of quality education, so as to form a pattern of the variety of textbooks that adjusts to the basic demands of the state.Facing the inexorable trend of the reform in middle school history curriculum, the thesis puts forward A Conception on Adding the Ethnic Minority Science and Technology History to the Middle School History Curriculum in developing and constructing middle school history textbooks, and elaborates its necessity in the following aspects: to adjust to the features of the rapid expansion in the field of historical research and development, and of the wide overlapping in various subjects; to have the middle school history curriculum play a better role in popularizing scientific knowledge and promoting scientific creativity and scientific progress with the overlapping, synthesizing and infiltrating of various subjects incontemporary times; to keep up with the pace of synthesis trend in the middle school education reform; to adjust to the pluralistic history concept originated from ancient times.In the course of expounding and proving its feasibility, the author sees through the current situation of the reform in middle school history textbooks, analyzes the present research state on the ethnic minority science and technology history, and also makes a survey by questionnaire. All the above demonstrates that the conception is necessary and feasible.On what has been achieved, directed by the latest Middle School History Curriculum Criterion issued by the State Education Ministry, and by dealing with the achievements and contributions of ethnic minority science and technology in different fields, and those of ethnic minority science and technology in different historical times, and the glamour and the role of bridge that the ethnic minority science and technology play, the thesis makes a reasonable conception on adding the content of the ethnic minority science and technology history to middle school history curriculum, and gives it a positive practical meaning.
