In the early stages of student assessment, it stresses the function of evaluation of students, selects the best students suitable for education. The teacher only uses assessment to evaluate student's performance of knowledge, neglecting the learning process, methods and emotion. With the pushing and development of educational reform and assessment theory, today, people realize that assessment in essence is"psychological construction" through consultation. Towards this objective, student assessment puts great store on mutual consultation and communication between teachers and students. Through this, the teacher provides the assessment to the students, which is helpful for them in understanding themselves in an objective and comprehensive way. Through the communication, the developmental function of assessment is fully realized, and the educational belief"all is for the development of students"is embodied.The paper firstly analyses the aims and essence of communication between teachers and students in student assessment ,then investigates the current situation and problems facing it ,after that, it analyses the reasons behind it and gives some suggestions. The aim is arousing people's attention on the communication between teachers and students, so as to provide a solid platform for the carry-out of the student assessment.
