The mathematical language is such a specialized language that differs from natural language in its glossaries, symbols and charts. We use this language to express our thought of mathematics as we use this language in mathematical situation. This language has become one of the basic requirements in modern society. This thesis expounds that it would promote the teaching quality by developing the capability of using mathematical language in high schools and discusses how to carry it into practice.This thesis consists of five parts. Part I emphasizes the necessity of developing the ability to use mathematical language through analyzing both domestic and international situations. Part II focuses on its classifications and characteristics. Part III discusses the theoretical bases and value of developing the ability to use the mathematical language. Part IV discusses the teaching principles and strategies of developing the ability to use the mathematical language. Part VI describes an experiment which shows that it could promote the teaching quality effectively by developing the ability to use mathematical language and the relativity between them.
