Design And Implement Of The Public Multimedia Teaching Platform

With development of modern information technology, modern distance instruction, which can make the real-time or non-real-time student-teacher interaction, has come into being. Constructing infrastructure, which includes developing both hardware of computer network and basic teaching platform, is the primary condition for developing distance instruction. The primary research and practice for this paper is how to develop a public multimedia teaching platform based J2EE framework for distance instruction in colleges.This paper analyses the status of network instruction at present, and make classified comparison among the familiar distance instruction systems. The paper concludes standards of distance instruction technology, and analyses some J2EE technologies including of software architecture based of J2EE, supporting XML with J2EE, JSF (JavaServer Faces) technology and Web Service development, etc. Based above work, the paper expatiate the design and function aim of the public multimedia teaching platform. And it expatiate the design of the database. Based the platform development, it narrates about the development environment, data processing, composing content of courses, graphics processing, security of platform, characteristic functions of platform, etc.The work of this paper includes:(1) Provide an interface that is simple and apt to use.(2) Add a guide into the answer system. And a learner can faster and more exactly find answers he need with the guide.(3) Provide the function of group study which can help learners to intercommunicate and share on Internet.(4) Provide BLOG space for learners. So learners can study initiatively and discover knowledge.
