Value judgment is the sum total of the stands,views and attitudes one assumes in handling issues of universal value. As a feature commonto each individual being or group,value judgment constitutes greatimpact on one's choice of behavior pattern,means and ends. Given theircritical formative and mature-stage in puberty,a focal eye on,a detailed research into and the supply of proper guide for college students in modern times on the side of the establishment of proper value systems should be taken as a primary concern for related researchers in colleges. As is well-observed,college students nowadays display a variety of value judgment traits,a result of the times they are placed in and of their own characteristics. Corresponding to the transformation of the mainstay value systems in China,college students here are also experiencing profound changes in their own value judgments. The present article,on the basis of a description of the fundamental causes of the said changes as well as that of the representative features and marks of the said changes,proposes a set of principles expected to shed light on how to build up a proper value system for college students in response to the demands of emerging situations. Also,the article addresses certain strategic measures to be adopted by communist Youth League organizations across China's collegiate campuses in delivering moral education.
