Inquiry teaching not only can help students achieve acknowledge and skills, but focus on students' leaning process and leaning methods, foster students to achieve mental, attitude, value. Put inquiry teaching into junior physics teaching surroundings will give physics teaching reform a new sight and expend the understanding of the physics curriculum development.Our research is aimed at providing positive evidence for inquiry teaching model for junior high school students' physics learning. It fell into three parts. Part one examined through questionnaires and interviews the teachers and students' thoughts about inquiry teaching and the feedbacks of the inquiry teaching model; part two questionnaire the students' physics learning attitude; part three discuss the efforts of different physics teaching model-inquiry teaching model and traditional teaching model, comparing with students' physics achievement and attitude.The study, choosing the junior high school students as subjects and "familiar and stranger force" as test content, reached the following conclusions:1. From the research in Wuhu, we found that 76.66% physical teachers knew little about inquiry-based teaching; 63.33% physical teachers doubted this new idea. It's difficult for them to transform their teaching view. But it is delectable, 36.67% teachers receipted this idea and view about inquiry-based teaching, they recognized that it is important for us to foster pupils from the three parts.2. From the investigation of the pupils, we found that the 82.5% students who contactphysics the first time like it very much. They are full of passion. What they (70.1%) want about the ideal physical teaching is the approach that merges with experiment and tutor. It is just the essential of inquiry.3. Directed -inquiry teaching model which emphasis the role of the teachers' directing and the students' main body accepted by most middle school physics teachers and junior high school students.4. Comparing the traditional model, Inquiry teaching model is good at helping students' memory\understand\use the physics concepts and criterion. It's significant that the two models influence the physics achievement.5. There is no significant in resolving the mathematics questions and construction that need more technology between the interactive inquiry-based teaching and traditional teaching model.6. Inquiry teaching model can stimulate students more interesting and enthusiast of physics learning than traditional model. It's significant that the two models influence students' physics attitude.
