In order to research that different national cultures lead to different views and mentalities, this research paper adopts views of mental health questionnaire which is compiled according to formed theories and open research results and SCL?0 questionnaire, to research on five hundred Han, Hui, Tibetan and Uygur ethnic college students at four universities in LanZhou .The results are: (1) Views on mental health of Han, Hui, Tibetan and Uygur ethnic college students are different. Among them, views on emotion, ego and disposition of male and female college students are similar, but differ in human relationships and methods of mental health protection; Views on emotion, human relationships and disposition of four ethnic college students are similar, while differ i~ ego and methods of mental health protection; Except for views on human relationships, college students who come from the cities, small towns and countryside have the same viewpoints in other aspects. (2) In general, the mental health situati.ons of Han, Hui, Tibetan and Uygur ethnic college students are good. And there is no obvious difference between male and female students, while quite different among four ethnic college students and among the students coming from different areas. 2 (3) The major factors which influence the views on mental health of Han, Hui, Tibetan and Uygur college students are nationality and sex: The influential factors of mental health situations mainly come from family, such as economic conditions, educational level of mother抯, educational methods of father抯, and so on.
