The authors of Chinese Village, Socialist State Friedman, Gpickowwicz and Selden were among those first researchers who came to China to study its development after the reform and openning-up. They studied Wugong village in Raoyang county, Hebei province which had already been researched by sociologists since 1949. By looking at nationalism, characteristics of farmers, poverty and socialism, they studied this interactive relationship between State and society in the context of different times. Great changes in Wugong village have taken place since 1961 while no studies have been done by now. Using data form Wugong village, this study continues to examine the active relationship between nation and country after the reform. Studies show that, at the beginning of the reform those politicians of Wugong were in charge of making relevant policies.Centralized decision-making and the allocation has not been changed. Corporations which were supported by local government have the same founction as Cooperatif which is in Planned Management in Economy Shifting Period; From 1980 to mid 1990, the economic development in Wugong is nothing but the result of the developments in the private porperty right. Nowadays, the government plays multiple roles as the representative of the nation, market regulator and profit manager.
