Research On Micro-Learning In The Mobile Communications Network

The miniature mobile telecom terminals developed rapidly in computation ability, multimedia display, network access,browsing and so on. And Wireless network capabilities are enhanced continuously in bandwidth, data transmission and access.Along with the miniature mobile telecom terminals and wireless network rapid development, micro learning in mobile communication environment was born,based on these materials. Meanwhile, WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) introduced the data on the Internet into miniature mobile telecom terminals,which makes the learners easily enjoy online learning resources through the the miniature mobile telecom terminals at any time and place.Micro learning in mobile communication environment is a learning form in which the learning content can be transmitted to learners through the miniature push type of medias. On learners' speaking, it is a kind of new learning style of obtaining information activily, and new learning environment.The learning time is scattered and short,the learning content is refined and fragmented, the choices of learning methods and learning media are flexible in micro learning in mobile communication environment.The freestyle learning of Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime,Anystyle will be realized(4A).The paper mainly studies five aspects that are concepts and characteristics, technical environment, learning design, learning strategies as well as individual cases studies of micro learning in mobile communication environment. The research methods mainly are "Design-Based Research" and "Design and Development Research", except for literature research, investigation research and case analysis and so on. The specific work done as follows:Firstly:to research the concepts and characteristics of micro learning and micro content. Seriously to compare and analyse the miniature mobile telecom terminals to match micro learning in mobile communication environment.Secondly:to analyse and research the design of mobile communication environment,using the research methods of "Design and Development Research", including the framework of hardware environment and the function module design of software platform. Thirdly:to research the learning design of micro learning in mobile communication environment, including the design of learning content model, the design and development of learning resources, as well as the general pattern and process of Micro-learning process, etc.Fourth:to research the design of learning strategies in mobile communication environment, including information acquisition and processing, and learning preferences.Finally:according to the analysis before,to present and analyse the cases of micro learning in mobile communication environment.The feature of the paper is the design of platform and learning of micro learning in mobile communication environment.It is the foundation of developing the platform and learning activities,and it promotes the development of Ubiquitous Learning and Lifelong Learning.
