Investigation Of Present Sports Dancing Curriculum In Elementary And High School In Shijiazhuang

In "National Fitness Program", young people and children are the focus of the fitness program. Comparing with other people, students in elementary and high schools are people who have the best condition to perform fitness periodically. Sports Dancing has been developed rapidly since it was introduced in China, which proves that Sports Dancing is an importance sport program for physical fitness, and also for the further carrying out of the National Fitness Program. Combining with the compulsory education, Sports Dancing education in elementary and high schools will enrich the physical activities of students, provide another way for students to understand the western art and culture, and at the same time, become an important supplement besides the current club education mechanism for the cultivation of Sports Dancing athletes. With the intensify of the quality education, there are increasing needs for the Sports Dancing education in elementary and high schools, and also increasing needs for the curriculum design for the Sports Dancing education in elementary and high schools.By using the methods of literature data, questionnaire, expert interviews, statistics and combining with the author's several years of teaching experience, the author performs an investigation of the current situation of Sports Dancing education in elementary schools and high schools in Shijiazhuang city, and draws the following conclusions:1)Sports Dancing covers three fields including sports, arts and education and has a good value of exercise.2)Two main factors that hind the development of Sports Dancing in the curriculum of elementary and high schools include lacking qualified Sports Dancing educators and lacking necessary Sports Dancing facilities.3)The objective of Sports Dancing curriculum in elementary and high schools is not for the professional Sports Dancing education, but for normal elementary and high school students. The curriculum in the pilot elementary school and high school follows this principle.4) Investigation shows that art university students' assisting Sports Dancing education in elementary schools and high schools is a feasible way to help perform systematic Sports Dancing education, and also an effective way for the training of physical educators in elementary schools and high schools.
