The wide research and application of information technology represented by the multimedia and internet has a profound impact on the development of all aspects of modern society,which promotes the information formation of the so-cial environment future.As social subsystems,education and teaching are natu-rally under the changes of the information environment.This paper first analyzes the research status of teaching engineering at home and abroad,puting forward the idea that using engineering principle and method is to improve the scientificity and systematicity of teaching based on in-formation perspective.Then the paper starts from this idea, analyzing the nature of teaching and teaching engineering from the information perspective. The pa-per is oriented by "seven elements" of the information teaching and "information interaction" nature of teaching, and discusses five links of teaching engineering: design, development, implementation, management and evaluation.Integrating, coordinating and managing the teaching elements according to engineering style during the progress of the dynamic teaching,teaching engineering is to take full account of "seven elements" of the teaching and develop forward spirally ac-cording to the iterative of "five parts", which aim is to promote the continuous improvement of teaching systems.Finally, the paper discusses the applications of teaching engineering by a contrastive sample and two teaching engineering cases ,which is to play a role in development of teaching engineering .
