Based on the theory of foreign direct investment and economic growth, the thesis applies substantial empirical analysis to the discussion of the impact of foreign direct investment (FBI) on the economic growth in China. It is generalized that FBI plays a very important role in the steady economic growth in China. Not only dose FDI enhance the fixed capital investment and foster the export trade, but also FDI enhances the gross industrial output value and tax revenue, optimizes the industrial structure and creates employment opportunities as well. Therefore, under the circumstances of economic globalization and investment liberalization, China should continue to enhance the scale and quality of FDI inflow.
