The View Of Righteousness And Profit Of Han Dynasty And Social Practice

The view of righteousness and profit is an important part of traditional ideology and culture, which runs through every aspect of society in the Han Dynasty.It had a broad and far-reaching impact on the Han Dynasty's political life, social life and cultural life . I attempt to analyze Han people's view of righteousness and profit and social practice and systematically excavate the mainstream view of righteousness and profit,and the relationship between the view of righteousness and profit and social practice, and thus research the significance of reference in the modern society.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part, using historical stuff to explain the definition of "righteousness"and "benefit" , and to reveal the true content of the relationship between righteousness and benefit . A more detailed analysis of the views of rightousness and profit of Confucianism , Mohist , Taoism, Legalist is made in this part. Above all ,the Confucianism's point is the view of valuing righteousness and despising profit,the legalist's point is the view of despising righteousness and valuing profit ,the Taoism's piont is the view of despising righteousness and profit ,the Mohist'point is the pursuit of public interests. In the Spring and Autumn period , the Confucianism, Mohist,Taoism,legalist and so on proposed their views of righteousness and profit,their views are the foundation of Han Dynasty's various views of righteousness and profit , in which the Confucianism's view of valuing righteousness and despising profit had an immense impact on the Han Dynasty.The second part, through the writings of thinkers of the Han Dynasty, there are three views of righteousness and benefit including the view of valuing righteousness and profit ,the view of despising righteousness and valuing profit , the view of despising righteousness and profit. In this paper ,I explain the three points of view,and analyse their advantages and disadvantages. I conclude that the Confucianism's view of righteousness and profit is the mainstream view of the Han Dynasty.It had an extensive impact on political life,economic life,social life, and cultural life.The third part, through the use of "Historical Records", "Han Shu", "Hou Han Shu" and other historical materials, I analyze the seven aspects of the Han people's social practice which include the relations of the family, clan, friends, teacher and student , colleagues, nations ,monarch and officials ,reveal that the view of valuing righteousness and profit is the mainstream thinking of Han people who dealt with above social relationships, and reveal the relationship between the view of righteousness and profit and social practice.The fourth section ,I analyze why the view of valuing righteousness and despising profit is the mainstream thinking of Han people who dealt with various social relationships.There are some reasons ,including the publicity of the Han Dynasty's thinkers,the encourage of rulers , connecting the view of righteousness and profit with education,using the law to publish the people who have the view of despising righteousness and profit.Moreover , I also analyse the significance of reference of Han people's view of righteousness and profit and social practice to the socialism's new view of righteousness and profit .We must insist the relationship of opposition and unity between the righteousness and profit,partially emphasizing any aspect will bring adversely effects .
