AbstractGenerally, a figurative painter paints the objective world to explain his relationship with the outside and convey his subjective feelings about facing the world. The painter gets to know himself and also the world continuously, and during this course, he continuously strengthens the unique artistic experience which is untiringly pursued, explored and considered by him. As the society develops, technology advances and the personal experience of artists changes with the time, artists of each era have made different artistic expressions about figurative paintings.Surrealists devote to the discovery of unconscious human psychology, propose abandoning logical and orderly realistic image and displaying people's deep psychology, and try to merge practical ideas with instinct, and unconsciousness with dream experience. While avoiding objective reality, a surrealism painter shows off the spiritual content pursued by him, and his works implicate more profound ideas of realism, which has many similarities with the spirit conveying of fables. Modern Chinese artists continue to be influenced by ancient Chinese thought, and under the mode of borrowing or adopting foreign traditional techniques of painting, they are showing their inner spiritual symbols of surrealism. This is an era with advanced spiritual and material civilization developing rapidly, and people are confused by the dazzling modern technologies and the extreme modern life, and are no longer willing to face the past nor think about crisis, so such problems as ecological balance destruction, food chain extinction and greenhouse effect and so on gradually appear. Under such situation of survival, artists need to paint the fable of the times, with the help of spiritual content of surrealism, and review the social reality in self perspective, and look forward to the common awakening. This paper takes the realism and allegory of surrealism as the research object, and analyzes several representative surrealistic painters to discuss about the allegory of surrealistic painting and our times, and explores how surrealistic artists convey symbolic metaphor while abandoning the appearance in reality and present the reality of life by means of psychological suggestion.Absorbing the flowing and fresh experience in his real life and showing concern over environmental protection, the graduation work of the author reflects the implication of surrealistic paintings and conveys the thinking and practice on a series of problems in the era. This attempt is exploring the language in surrealistic painting and also enriching the exploration with his appreciation of the spirit of the era.
