The Comment On Sutong's Novel

As a pioneer writer in the later 1980's, SuTong has published many works which adds up to 3 million words ,and gradually formed his own Works Series in his twenty-year writing life. As we all know ,without the time accumulation ,it is easy to form a One-sided point of view by just Sampling the common features, but ignoring the particular aspects. It is the only SuTong's novel that is set in a special historical situation to investigate dynamically so that it can reveal the inter law and the source of motivation about the development. Since SuTong's always concerned by the critics, there are plenty of achievement .However, that is not to say there is no space to explore. So this thesis is going to attempt to discuss SuTong's novel as a whole in four chapters.The first part, discuss what is the image in SuTong's novel .Form historical novel to realistic novel ,from series of"Chinese toon tree street"to"Maple Poplar",to"Pink",SuTong continuously create a unique aesthetic ideal -image. His main writing method in this chapter is by dissertating the aesthetic value of the colorful image in SuTong's works with SuTong's novel language through plenty of examples, and finally put forward a new point of view. The second part, SuTong's writing style has developed great in his nearly twenty-year writing life, but his basic theme is steady relatively. This chapter starts to reveal whether his discourse style, or motif of his permanent choice, he can be called a literature of their own unique space to hold the stick and always keep writing their own value orientation in the view of motif and prototype of SuTong's novel. The works which presented these processed prototypes in SuTong's novel, are well known as the prototype elements.The third part, explore the narrative form in SuTong's novel from the four aspects the perspective of known and limited omniscient, the mix of equilibrium and excitement, the passion of tension, the narrative of the strong time. So this chapter mainly focuses on the narrative technique and skills in SuTong's writing. SuTong's writing is always a pleasure process not an anxious and restless one .In the text form, SuTong broke the limitation of Style in narrative and lyric, realism and imagination, and created a real"novel text without experience".Part four, elaborate aesthetic core embodied on SuTong's novel from four aspects—the poetic and aesthetic taste, the aesthetic characteristics of the original ecology, and the sophisticated, complex, dramatic story, and the sentimental classic style.
