The Comparison Research Of Chinese And Uyghur Color Terms

Vocabularyis the most active part of the three systems of language.It can response the changes ofsocial system,the developments of culture and the vicissitudes of history.Color word is a teensy typeof language word systems,it also is the important part of national languages and cutural.But no otherthan this teensy word can show the long history of a nation and even a country.It is the refraction ofhistory.Meanwhile the color words of various kinds have theirs word building forms and characters,forming numerous and jumbled color words system.Thus becoming a type of special word group oftheirs languages' vocabularies.Theyhave unique linguistic functions and culture meanings.Color words are gave different culture connotationes because of differences between Chinese andUyghur.Since the book《Basic Color Terms》was written by American anthropologist Berlin andlinguist Kay,it has become the classics in the research field of color terms in semicentury.According tothe theory in this book ,and combining the Cognitive Linguistics theory ,this article compares thesemantics between Chinese and Uyghur basic terms.
