Chinese image described by the Christian missionaries come to China during the Ming and Qing dynasties has a clear change: First, Chinese image become clear from a blurry profile, then it was transfigured and become an Utopia, and at last the image was uglified and disparaged. At the same time, European impression about China also had a same transformation guided by the Christian missionaries'depiction. This dissertation's main content is just to elaborate the course of change about the Chinese image and expound the reasons led to this transformation from three aspects: First one, Christian missionaries beautified China purposely proceeded from the need of mission; Second , the superiority complex of Chinese scholars who contacted with the missionaries influenced their description about China; Last ,misunderstand of culture that hard to avoid during the cross-culture communication is the essential reason led to the missionaries'Chinese imagination.
