This thesis is talking about the aesthetics of western tragedy art by aesthetics-research and historical-research. For one thing, this thesis tries to find the origin of aesthetics from the natural feelings and definite the tragedy aesthetics in the confliction between spirit and body: First, tragedy art was generated from the life's imitation of spirit Second, tragedy art is a life form, which comes from life, expresses life and recovers life. During the conflicting between body and soul, it not only restrict the action of spirit , but also maintains the value of itself. Third, tragedy s is the aesthetic recognition. It arouses the feeling of individual and releases one's life. During this course , it is the difference- research- method. For another, from history point, the western aesthetics is the history of the development of individual life. First, this thesis re-narrate the history of western tragedy theories, finding the law and course of it. Second , it analysis the arts history of western tragedy. By explaining the origination of tragedy art by anthropology and analyzing the classical texts like Hamlet .We come to the conclusion that, the course of tragedies history is "nature tragedy, fate tragedy, humanity tragedy ,romantic tragedy ,mental tragedy", which answers the questions: where I'm from ,who I'm I, what I can do ,what's the relationship between I and you, what's the relationship between Iand he...... To sum up, western tragedy comes from the confliction betweenspirit and body, and tragedy aesthetics is the feeling during this course.
