The thesis explores the interpretation on F·Kafka and his works from the new and multistory perspectives, though there are the fruits of the analysis on Kafka with S·Freud's theory.Firstly, the condition of the reasonable analysis is provided:. Freud and Kafka bear many similarities, furthermore, there are some virtual relations between Freud and Kafka. Kafka mentioned Freud's theory for seven times, and we can discover the close relations between Kafka's writing and Freud's theory. The Structures of the Mind, The Interpretation of Dream and Ego defense mechanism etc. have effect on Kafka and his writings deeply.Secondly, there is a spiritual coordination between Kafka's personality and the Structures of the Mind. The three different identities of Kafka are clear that he presents the body of Superego at work, that he shows the body of Ego in daily life, and that he demonstrates the body of Id by his writings.Thirdly, it is feasibility reading Kafka's writings by Freud's theory. Many critics have found the dreamland in Kafka's novels, but few people have paid attention to the dreamland in detail. We can discover the mysterious appearance of Kafka's Id through interpreting Kafka's fifty-nine dreamlands: The Oedipus Complex. Id is inhibited by Superego, and Ego has to intervene in them by Ego defense mechanism in order to relax their conflicts and satisfy both sides. As a result, the variation of The Oedipus Complex appears: Ego defense mechanism tries to use transference moderating the conflict between Superego and Id; it also takes writing to liberate the Id's hatred toward Kafka's father as possible as it can. Otherwise, Ego defense mechanism has taken introjection and rationalization etc, to ease up the contradiction between Superego and Id; but it fails in the end.Maybe Freud's theory has its limitations, but the analysis on Kafka with Freud's theory can provide us with a better understanding of Kafka and his works.
