Abstract: Women have played an unusual role in the Iranian White Revolutionbeginning at the 1960s, which is not an little stir. In this revolution, the Shan, the king and planner, earned an international reputation for the rapid development of the economy. Moreover, the Shan even wins the title of the modern and progressive monarch for enacting laws with regard to the improvement of the women's social status and living condition. However, just as people wear marveling at the tremendous achievements obtained so quickly during the White Revolution, this revolution ended up suddenly in the downfall of the Shan's power in the late 1970s. But the most unexpected was that it was the Iranian women who seemed have just benefited from, but turn against, the Shan's reforms in the frontline of the anti-Shan revolution. They even actively supported the Black Revolution.This paper includes introduction and five parts:The introduction. The author mainly introduces the relevant researches in both China and abroad, in particular, those during the White Revolution. And based on this, the author describes the purpose of this paper.In the first part, the author briefly reviews the Iranian women's condition before the White Revolution and concludes that the question of women actually is a historical issue.In the second part, the author reviews the improvement and the dilemma of Iranian women's condition in the period of the White Revolution in terms of marriage, family, education, employment, politics enthusiasm and women's liberation.In the third part, the author believes that the reasons accounting for the issues of the women include objective and the subjective ones. So the author draws up to analyze the objective reasons from the social traditional culture, politics, and economy.In the fourth part, the author analyzes the subjective reasons of the women's questions from the values and institutional mechanisms of the Iranian women's organizations.In the fifth part, the author puts forward the opinions regarding how to resolve the women's problems of Iran.Whereas both men and women help push forward the social progress. In making best of women labour resources, the author hopes this paper will be helpful to our country which also has long traditional culture history and also is carrying out modernization now.
