True Spirit Position Diagram

"True spirit position diagram", is the first immortal pedigree of complete system in Chinese Taoist history , written by Tao hongjing who was a famous Taoism theoretician during Qi and Liang of South Dynasty. This book has its important role and far-reaching effect on Taoism, perfection and crystallization of immortal pedigree of Tang and Song were based on it. "True spirit position diagram" contains about 700 Taoist spirits, they are illustrated according to seven stratums and left, right. It synthesized mental belief of previous Tianshi doctrine, jindan doctrine, shangqing doctrine and Buddhism, and eventually established the highest position in Taoism, reflected the domination of shangqing doctrine at that time and tendency of this system. The occurrence of more than 700 supernatural beings was not occasional, but systematical conclusion of previous designs and arrangement Taoism made for supernatural beings. In addition ,it distilled thinking production of "zhuangzi' "taipingjing" but most came from Taohongjing's . "Truth", Gehong's "Ascending the top of the truth" and "starting top truely the fairy of many immortal"and numerous primitive classics.
