The Research On NuoDance's Music Of WanZai

As one of important Chinese culture, Nuo has emerged for more than four thousand years in China. It has been considered that it possesses magical super naturalpower-a type of mysterious power which can conquer the nature and consummatethe living environment of human beings. Nuo also is one of the offering sacrifices to ancestors with Chinese antiquity's "YuJi", "LaJi". In addition, it has the longest history and the most influent in the offering activity. Furthermore, Nuo has still circulated in some countries after thousands years' development and change, such as, GuiZhou, Jiangxi, HuNan, SiChuang, AnHui, YunNan, GuangXi etc. Recent decades, the Chinese Nuo has gone out of the national capital, and headed for the whole world. Many regional Nuo troupes have gone to various countries to do the Nuo performance. Besides, Nuo has been followed with more and more interest by foreign researchers; it has attracted a large batch of experts and scholars, who are from the group of sinology, for instance, Japan, Korea, etc. Those experts have come to China to inspect and learning interchange and the achievement is quite remarkable.The NuoDance in WanZai city has more than four hundred years' history. It is distinctive and representative regional Nuo with the integrated keeping. Its own artistic conception and culture connotation constitute the special spiritual orientation and manifestation of the WanZai NuoDance.Because of the profound and far-reaching value, it has been loved and spread until now. From the previous research document, people have paid much attention to investigate the Nuo's historical origin, development and dancing movement, but less meticulous and systematic exploration on the musical accompaniment which is the main and the most important component of the Nuo. In fact it is not easy to ignore the primeval austere operatic vocal music, straightforward and uninhibited accompaniment with musical instruments, cheerful and lighthearted tunes which are major musical expression of the NuoDance. These elements form the NuoDance's particular artistic quality, and add shaping around the NuoDance's special atmosphere to make it stand out, also coordinate the performanceof NuoDancc to bring the audience into a Nuo world. This article was basis of the author's practically investigation in many countries of WanZai city during the spring festival of 2004 and 2005. Moreover, the author audio recorded and taped the Nuo performance, and utilized the rational research methods of observation, survey, summary, comparison, recommendation, analysis and conclusion, to discover and arrange the music of WanZai NuoDance. In addition, this article analyzed the musical feature, such as, accompaniment instruments, libretto, operatic vocal music, rhythms and musical form structure. Also, the author has strived for exploring the WanZai NuoDance's esthetic moral and culture accumulation from the analysis of the musical attribute. Finally, in terms of the present value of the Nuo music, the propagation and development of the WanZai NuoDance, the author talked about some of her own understanding and recommendation reflecting on the findings.
