On The Rhyme Of Modern Verse

For Chinese modern verse, rhyme is a question which has been discussed but hasn't been completely sovelved. If modern verse will modernize, it is important that discover sense, expand thesis and theme. But if we neglect the significance of rhyme, this modernization will not fufil on text. This article will take ground the verses which exist from 1917 to 1949 as a whole reserchful object , ran down the mutation and development of the rhyme in modern poems, discuss the development and the limitation , the failure and the experience on this question.The article is composed of five sections. The first part is "on the rhyme of modern verse". It discuss how to hold the rhyme of verse and what sense the rhyme with regard to verse. The second part is"from germination to awakenning", it study the poets' discussion and gain and loss on rhyme during early period.The third part is "sincere pursuit on two different levels", from exterior rhyme to interior rhyme, discuss the development and limitation in 1920's. The forth part is "contain rhym-e invisibly, integrate vision and hearing", it discuss the rhym-e of verse from 1930's to 1940's, according to Wang Shudai and AiQing's practices.
