The Clinical Observation Of Import Oral Implants' Treatment For Edentulous Cases

Since the osseointegration first been reported by PI Br?nemark, the implant industry has been great developed. At the very beginning, this new therapy is determined to solve the problems of jaw bones deletion and help the fixation of denture. With the development and changing during about 50 years, the technology is wide spread in the globe, which can be perfectly accepted by most edentulous patients. Implant of the treatment in our department has been increased over 5 years, we should make a conclusion about the indications of our patients, and analysis the implant treatment complications and failure rate in recent years.A total of 1430 patients received implants placement from Jan. 2002 to Dec. 2008, in Department of Implant, the Forth Militarily Medical University, School of Stomatology. The group comprised 830 men and 600 women with a mean age of 42.8. We build a data-bank for all the information such as the patient's age, gender, the place which he/she lose his/her teeth, the treatment he/she received, the implant types we choose to use. The following parameters were evaluated using descriptive method (Excel for Office XP/2000, Microsoft, Redmond, WA, USA).This study can be divided into three parts. The first is the common information of the implant treatment in our department; the second part is the analysis of the implant early failure rate; the third part is the incidence of perrimlantitis and the clinical effects of the treatment for 35 peri-implantitis.The results goes to: 1. The pool of 1430 patients received 2747 dental implants, 1.92 per person. 2. In the 2747 implants, and only 16 implants didn't appear the osseointegrated. So, the early implant failure rate is 0.69%. 3. We have checked 530 patients, and the incidence of implant infection is 18 patients. In the total of 35 implants, PLI have no significant difference before and after treatment. mSBI and BOP were recovered after 6 weeks, by our methods. The PD shows that the kind of treatment gives us a stable margin bone level after 6 weeks.With the universial of implant technology, the indication of implant is enlarged. And the patients'number is increased year by year. According to the bad oral condition in domestic, we should take great control of the developing periodontitis. This will not only help the early implant achievement and will reduce the appearance of the periimplantitis. The usage of Minocycline Hydrochloride can do a significant effect on the treatment of periimplantitis. But we still need the patients to come back to the clinical regularly and make a good prevention of their implant denture. Systematic therapy is a significant effect for dental peri-implantitis, and the treatment should be repeated every 3 weeks.
