The Research Of Assessing Hospitalization Procedure Of Surgery Patients In Shorten Hospital Stay

Objective: Analyze the reasons caused the long hospital stay,and offer the suggestions for intendant of hospital.Making the nation,patient and hospital could all benefit from the suggestions. Methods: Assess hospitalization procedure of leiomyoma surgery ,cholelithiasis surgery, simple goiter surgery , knee prosthesis surgery patients'fifity case histories respectively from Jan to Dec in 2008,in a three level of first-class hospital of xinjiang,to assess necessary hospital stay,suitble hospital stay and standard hospital stay.Use the retrospective study, descriptive statistics analysis by SPSS13.0, and completely random design data's ANOVA.. Results: 1.There are some problems in the process,such as waiting for a long time, no consistent discharge standard etc.2.Leiomyoma surgery's actual average hospital stay is11.44±2.7 days. After evaluating, determine the evaluation standard,which can be 9days . Cholelithiasis surgery's actual average hospital stay is 10.78±4.32days. After evaluating, determine the evaluation standard,which can be 8days . Simple goiter surgery's actual average hospital stay is 9.24±2.39days. After evaluating, determine the evaluation standard,which can be 6 days . Knee prosthesis surgery's actual average hospital stay is16.62±5.57days, determine the evaluation standard,which can be 10 days . 3.According to necessary hospital stay's level and suitble hospital stay's level,find out the actual cost of hospitalization has statistics discrepancy with necessary cost of hospitalization and suitble cost of hospitalization in the 4 kinds of surgeries respectively. It shows that it could ligten patient's economic burden ,increase the hospital bed's usage and everyday fees of hospital. Conclusion: Using management method to shorten hospital stay could come true the public health service aim,and promote hospital's connotation development.
