| Objective: To investigate the prevalence and the major risk factors of fatty liver disease(FLD)among the general population in Shenzhen area of Guangdong province. Methods: The 3595 check-up peoples and 1515 managers in Shenzhen enterprises from Jan to Jun in 2008 were tested with fasting blood-glucose(FBG), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride(TG), uricemia (UA) and those people were detected with abdomen-ultrasonic for adiposis hepatica. The data was analyzed by groups with age, sex, with or without FLD.Result: The detectablerate rate of fatty liver disease in normal people was 26.84%,with 29.48 % in men and 24.35 % in women, and the detectablerate rate of FLD in managers was 21.19%, with 28.09% in men and 8.84% in women. There was gender differences in both guoups (P<0.01). And the detectablerate of FLD in the managers was lower than in the normal people (Χ2 =18.096, P=0.000). The detectablerate of fatty liver increased with the age was growth(Χ2=4.388,P=0.036),it reached a peak between 51-60 years in age, then decreased; The body mass index(BMI) ,SBP, DBP, weight, serum triglyceride, uricemia, fasting blood-glucose(FBG) and pulse pressrure in individuals with fatty liver disease were obviously higher than in those without. and the prevalence of overweight, obesity, hyperglycemia, hyperlipemia and hyperuricemia was also higher too. Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that the prevalence of fatty liver was only positively correlated to five risk factors, including UA, FBG, TG, HDL-C and DBP.Conclusion: The detectablerate of FLD in 3595 check-up peoples in Shenzhen areas was 26.84%, Hyperuricemia, hyperglycemia, high triglycerides, high diastolic blood pressure were risk factors for fatty liver, and the high-density lipoprotein - cholesterol was a fatty liver protective factors. |
