| Objective: To analyze the diagnosis value of hysteroscopy and transvaginal ultrasound diagnosis in endometrial polyp (EP).Methods: 310 patients with abnormal metrorrhagia or infertility were evaluated by transvaginal ultrasound and hysteroscopy, followed by biopsy during hysteroscopy. Calculate and compared the diagnose accordance rate, sensitivity, specificity, false negative rate, false positive rate of the two approaches after the pathological standard. Results: The diagnose accordance rate, sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive, positive predictive of transvaginal ultrasound with pathological examination in diagnosing EP is 62.24%, 82.43%, 84.32%, 15.68% and 17.57% respectively. The diagnose accordance rate, sensitivity, specificity, false negative rate, false positive rate of hysteroscopy with pathological examination in diagnosing EP is 83.07%, 93.10%, 95.63%, 4.37% and 6.89% respectively. Conclusion: The coincidence rate of transvaginal ultrasound is lower than hysteroscopy by pathological standard. As an non-invaded, convenient and shortcut method, transvaginal ultrasound can be used in preoperative screening and postoperative follow-up visiting. Hysteroscopy can be used as an fist elected method in EP diagnosing because of its higher coincidence rate, sensitivity and specificity. |
