| Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of the way of dispersing the lung and clearing away heat and toxic material plus the western medicine Azitromycin on treating the syndrome of phlegm and heat obstructing the pulmonary of children's Mycoplasmal pneumonia (MPP).Design and method:Children with pharyngitis herpetica meeting the diagnostic criteria were divided randomly into two groups, each with 30 cases. In control group:patients were treated with the western medicine Azitromycin which was used 10mg/kg and once a day; In therapy group:patients were treated with the way of combining traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, that was on the base of the treatment with Azitromycin, and patients eated the Chinese medicine decoction. The treatment course was 10 days. We observed the clinical improvement of the symptoms and signs of the two groups after the treatment and the adverse reactions which were happened in the course of the treatment. Then the therapeutic validity and security of the two groups were evaluated.Results:Among 60 patients with the syndrome of phlegm and heat obstructing the pulmonary of children's MPP, there was no evident difference in morbidity between two genders. The symptoms were all relieved after treatment. After the duration of treatment(10 days), the comprehensive efficacy of the therapy group and the control groupwere 76.67% and 63.33%, including the cure rate and effective rate, so it had no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05). But the improvement of patients'symptoms as cough, phlegm of the therapy group were better than that of the control group.The recovery time of the symptoms ascough, phlegmof the therapy group were shorter than that of the control group. And the treatment of the secondary symptoms and signs as appetite, sweat, the color of the tongue property and the tongue coating in therapy group were also better han that in control group.Conclusion:Children's Mycoplasmal pneumonia is a common material. The way of dispersing the lung and clearing away heat and toxic material plus the western medicine Azitromycin has good clinical effect on treating the syndrome of phlegm and heat obstructing the pulmonary of children's Mycoplasmal pneumonia. The therapy group was better than the control group about the improvement of the symptoms and signs and the decrease of the patients'recovery time. And the treatment of the therapy group had not adverse reactions. The clinical evidence of the traditional Chinese medicine on treating children's Mycoplasmal pneumonia is afforded by this study. |
