Study On Antioxidant Of The Ethanol Extrac From Artemisin Selengensis

Artemisin selengensis is a plant with high pharmaceutical and edible value. Since ancient times its functions of Hemostasis, anti-inflammatory, antitussive phlegm, appetizers strengthening spleen, cold-dispelling the desiccant have been recorded. Flavonoids compounds in Artemisin selengensis is one of the most important physiological and active matters which has a better capacity of anti-oxidation and anti-caducity,curing blood vessel diseases, antisepsis and anti-inflammation and so on. The anti-oxidative capacity of ethanol extract froom Artemisin selengensis was mainly studied in this paper and the results were as follows:1. The anti-oxidative character, Anti-lipid peroxidation, removal capacity of·OH and O2-·of ethanol extract froom Artemisin selengensis were studied,the result showed that flavonoids compounds in Artemisin selengensis have good oxidation resistance.2. The activities of SOD and GSH-Px in serum,liver and brain in aged mice of the group which treated with ethanol extract froom Artemisin selengensis were significantly higher and the content of MDA was significantly lower than the aged model group(P<0.05, P＜0.01). Ethanol extract froom Artemisin selengensis had good antioxidant effect in aged mice.3. The ethanol extract froom Artemisin selengensis could significantlly increase cell activity and attenuate active oxygen production of splenic cells of mice(P<0.05, P＜0.01).4. The ethanol extract froom Artemisin selengensis could significantlly increase survival rate of splenic cells of mice and the quantity of comet splenic cells of the group which treated with ethanol extract froom Artemisin selengensis was significantly lower than the positive control group(P<0.05, P＜0.01),and was reduced from 83.5% to 62.5%,53.0%,44.5%. The comet length of the group which treated with ethanol extract froom Artemisin selengensis was significantly lower than the positive control group(P<0.05). The ethanol extract froom Artemisin selengensis could effectively decrease the oxidative DNA damage induced by H2O2.
