Objective The aim of this study was to analyze the correlation between rapid increased heart rate at onset of electrocardiogram treadmill exercise test and coronary artery lesion. Methods 245 patients with chest pain underwent electrocardiogram treadmill exercise test and coronary angiography. The patients were divided into coronary heart disease(CHD)group and non-CHD group according the results of coronary angiography. The patients of CHD group were divided into single-vessel disease group, double-vessel disease group and triplet-vessel disease group. The increased heart rate during the first minute(ΔHR1minute) of treadmill exercise test and the extent of coronary artery lesion were analyzed.ResultsΔHR1minute in CHD group was significant higher than that in non-CHD group(P<0.01).ΔHRlminute had a increasing trend with the numbers of coronary artery lesion.ΔHR1minute was positively correlated to the depression of ST segment and the numbers of coronary artery lesion(r=0.252,0.470, P<0.01)Conclusion Patients with CHD have increasedΔHR1minute. There is positively correlation betweenΔHR1minute and the extent coronary artery lesion. These Results indicate thatΔHR1minute can estimate the extent of myocardial ischemia and coronary artery lesion.
