Objective:To provide a new choose for therapeutic of advanced Pancreatic Cancer by treating advanced Pancreatic Cancer patients with High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and observing the short term effect.Methods:After treating by the HIFU, The changes of the 24 cases with advanced Pancreatic Cancers'KPS score, score of pain feeling, tumor markers (CA199), blood,urine and stool routine, biochemical index and electrolytes will be observed, the echo and blood supply of tumor will be measured by B-ultrasound and contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), the size of tumor will be measured by enhanced spiral CT.Results:After the High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment to these 24 cases with unresected pancreatic carcinoma, KPS increased markedly compared with that of pre treatment (52.3±17.1 Vs 85.7±19.9, p<0.01), the score of pain feeling decreased (9.1±2.8 VS 3.9±1.7, p<0.05), the level of tumor markers reduced (456.2±253.8VS 141.2±95.8 p<0.05). Of 20 cases (Z=-4.311, p<0.01) observed by B-ultrasound, the echo of inner tumor somewhat enhanced compared with that of pre treatment, and liquefaction, fibrosis and calcification can be found in the tumor. There are decrease or disappearance of the blood supply of tumor to some extent in 21 cases (Z=-3.415, p<0.01), and the CT showed that the size of tumor regressed or stayed the same (17.2±6.2cm3 VS 10.1±5.3 cm3, p<0.05). Also there are no significant changes in the Blood routine, biochemical index and electrolytes after the High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment.Conclusions:1. The HIFU treatment in advanced Pancreatic Cancer is a promising noninvasive method of treatment,because it has more curative effect in the aspect of improving the patients'clinical symptoms, it also can reduce the size of tumor efficiently, decrease or interrupt the blood supply of tumor.2. CEUS can accurately evaluate the changes of feeding vessels of pancreatic carcinoma before and after HIFU and it proved to be of great value in making next therapeutic scheme.
