Clinical Observation On Early Rehabilitation Treatment Of Spinal Cord Injury

Objective:There are several aspects of rehabilitation of spinal cord injury to discuss in this study:â‘ The rehabilitation involvement opportunity was conducted with the groups comparison, in order to clear further about the opportunity of early rehabilitation involvement as well as the influence of early rehabilitation on the function of patients with SCI;â‘¡Through the research, the vital role of the earlier rehabilitation treatment which reduce the complications'morbidity of the patients with SCI was proved.Object and method:174 cases patients with spinal cord injury in rehabilitation department in our hospital during March 2005 to June 2009 was involved in this study. This research duration is 3 months. According to the forecited grouping principle and the procedure,87 cases with SCI were divided into two groups.55 cases rehabilitation treatment involved within 1 month after the wound were internalized the treatment ground(TG),32 cases rehabilitation treatment involved late to 1month but within 3months after the wound were internalized the control group(CG).Setting:Rehabilitation clinical retrospective studyMeasure contents:The follow measurement were taken in this study:patients's general condition, damage plane, ASIA grade, Barthel index (BI), ASIA motor score(MS)and sensory score(SS).Measure method:All SCI patients took 3 months rehabilitation treatment, and all integrated in this research were evaluated with above measures pre and post rehabilitation treatment.Results:In the 87 cases, the most causes are crash, traffic accident and crushing. SCI usually be seen among young adult male. Statistics analysis:The BI,MS,SS scores pre treatment of each group is significant difference compared with post treatment(statistics:P<0.05). The BI, MS scores pre treatment is significant difference compared between two groups(statistics:P<0.05).The SS scores post treatment is non-statistics significance compared between two groups(statistics:P>0.05).The comparison of the common complication with SCI, such as bedsore and urinary tract infection, there is a significant difference between them (statistics:P<0.05).Conclusions:Their study reflects that earlier rehabilitation involvement can significant improved exercise capacity function of patients with SCI, can improve activities of daily living of patients with SCI, can reduce the complications of patients with SCI. The rehabilitation involvement best start within 1 month.
