Bone mineral density(BMD )were measured by DEXA Dual energy X-ray absorptionmetry in the proximal femur (femoral neck, Ward's Triangle ,trochanter) and lumbar spine L2-L4.Results In CCR2 gene,Osteoporosis genotype and allele frequency distribution of patients compared with healthy older men was no significant difference (respectivelyχ~2=1.16 ,P >0.05;χ~2=0.50,P >0.05). In GPR177 gene,Osteoporosis genotype and allele frequency distribution of patients compared with healthy older men was significant difference (respectivelyχ~2 =14.28, P=0.000;χ~2=13.80,P=0.000). Bone mineral density in Ward's triangle in TT genotype of CCR2 gene was significantly lower than those in CC and CT genotypes of CCR2 gene; Bone mineral density in the proximal femur in CC genotypes of GPR177 was significantly lower than those in TT and CT genotypes of GPR177.Conclusion CCR2 gene and GPR177 gene polymorphism may affect bone mineral density in elderly men, suggesting that CCR2 gene and GPR177 gene may be candidate genes which affect bone mineral density. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | CCR2, GPR177, Polymorphism, male, BMD | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
