Objective:To analyze the prevalence of hypertension and the related factors of patients with coal worker's pneumoconiosis, clarify the relationship between pneumoconiosis patients complicated with hypertension and other factors, such as the dust-exposed time period of pneumoconiosis, age, obesity, poor life history, lung function abnormalities, lipid abnormalities, glucose abnormalities and so on. It provides a scientific basic to improve the quality of life in patients with pneumoconiosis for the prevention and treatment of hypertension in patients with pneumoconiosis, further reduce their prevalence of coronary heart disease and stroke and prolong life. Methods:To collect 200 patients with coal worker's pneumoconiosis who admission in the Coal Industry Group General Hospital of JinCheng during January 2007-January 2009 period, in which 169 patients with stageâ… ,â…¡period of 31 cases. Meanwhile, collect 468 synchronization admission patients with non-coal worker's pneumoconiosis by means of age-matching, except of the risk of diabetes, coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, patients with essential hypertension and heart, brain, kidney, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, pheochromocytoma, etc.Retrospective statistical and analytical methods, to develop" A list of the hypertension of patients with coal worker's pneumoconiosis ". Detailed and accurate records of patient's age, sex, pneumoconiosis period, the dust of time, smoking history, drinking history, body mass index (BMI), history of hypertension, diabetes, history of high blood lipids. All data applications SPSS 13.0 for analysis. To compare the rate of testing, multivariate analysis using Logistic regression analysis.Results:1) Coal worker's pneumoconiosis incidence of hypertension was higher, relative risk 5.598; 2) The incidence of hypertension associated with other factors including:number of years exposed to dust, lung function, body mass index, smoking index, hemoglobin, red blood cells. Conclusion:Coal worker's pneumoconiosis is the one of the risk factor for hypertension.
