[Objective] To study the diagnostic value of OMOM capsule endoscope in small intestine diseases.[Methods] A total of 54 patients who undwent capsule endoscopy during Decmber 2006 to Decmber 2009 in The Second Hospital, Lanzhou University.46 people suspected small bowel diseases and the 8 people were asymptomatic. Before the examination, all the patients who suspected cases small-intestinal diseases underwent gastroscopy and colonoscopy,32 cases of which underwent all gastrointestinal barium fluoroscopy.The system of OMOM capsule endoscopy was produced by Chongqing Jin shan Science and Technology Group.[Results] The 4 cases failed in all 54 participants examinated. The successful rate was 92.59%. The average residence time of the capsules was 53.4m±6.2m in stomach, the average running time of the capsules was 318.0m±5.7m in small intestine.42 cases were diagnosed gastrointestinal diseases, include 39 subjects was intestinal diseases, the 8 cases was normal, the detection rate of intestinal diseases was 72.22%(39/54).29 cases were diagnosed small bowel diseases, the positive diagnostic rate was 63.04%(29/46). the 14 cases were found to have two or more lesions.The capsule endoscopy didnot retented in all participants.[Conclusion] The examination by the OMOM capsule endoscopy is safe, feasible and convenient. It can be used as the preferred method in examining small bowel disease. The detection rate was higher than traditional methods in small bowel lesions, for example obscure gastrointestinal bleeding. [Objective] To study feasibility and safety of the parachute-style capsule endoscopy in the clinical application.[Methods] 6 volunteers participated in the study, Parachute-type capsule endoscope was placed volunteer duodenum along the guide wire by gastroscope. The progressional status of the parachute-style capsule endoscopy was observed in small bowel of volunteer under X-ray monitoring.[Results] Parachute-type capsule endoscopy was successed to put into the small intestine of volunteer. Parachute-style capsule endoscopy were discharged after 48 hours, no retention. Parachute-type of capsule endoscopy was moving forward along the intestinal axis in small intestine of volunteer. The viewing angle of capsule endoscopy was on good, stable and was not found any roll of in the intestine, opposite direction to cameraed or camera angle is not good. Interaction between the umbrella with resistance and the ball with power forward, Parachute-style capsule endoscopy to ensure that it was worked in the best posture of intestinal axis.[Conclusion] Parachute-style capsule endoscopy was safe and feasible, stable performance. It can maintain a good working posture in small intestine of the volunteers. |
