【Background】Chest impact injury is one of the important type of traffic trauma and fall injuries from height, blunt injury. Pulmonary contusion caused by blunt impact on chest When 1761 Morgagni delineated sin chest wall traumatic of pulmonary contusion .1840 R.W. Smith has observed the pulm of autopsy and discover severe petty of contused wound . until 1945 Burford has observed hyperemia . interstitial edema or hemorrhage and consolidation in autopsy so he has proposed'traumatic wet lung'. Pulmonary contusion is multiple severity. delitescence . high death rate is usually closely to acute lung injury (ALI)and acute respiratory dysfunction syndrome (ARDS) .as Pulmonary contusion is often with combined injury and pathogenetic condition complicated so death rate is to reach 25%.Therefore, it is viluable to make a correct and prompt diagnosis of PC. A lots of literature report that CT is recognized as the most accurate and sensitive means for diagnosis of pulmonary contusion.but there are no report that the status of pulmonary edema and hemorrhage is coincident with CT signs.【Purpose】To observe the Pulmonary contusion of rabbit animal model, and then try to clarify the mechanisms of CT appearance of bellows with the degree of bellows injury. to provide early diagnosis, early treatment and prognosis for Pulmonary contusion . 【Methods】Seven miniature swines weighing (18.2±2.9) kg was under fasting for 12 hours before experimentation .rabbits were randomly assigned to control group (n = 8 ) and experimental group (n = 24 ). The rabbits in experimental group were struck on the right thoracic wall by synchronous cardior . strike mass of 3kg , strike height to part of 1.2 m,0.85 m,0.5 m ,and strike area of 3.14m2 .after strike every 0.5 h record the breath , heart rate and body temperature of rabbits . after 3h CT scan the chest of rabbits and kill the rabbits .【Results】1.The pathology, type and wound state of the PC in the animals are similar to the clinical practice. The model has the advantages of simple, controllable parameters and accuracy and repeatability in impacting sites .2.The empirical method has not breakdown pathoappearance and the volume of the injured region to the lung is every clear.3. Different pulmonary contusion have conspicuous discrepancy in vital sign chest ,CT scan and pathological change.4. After serious trauma(10J/cm2)most of the rabbits have fracture of rib and opposite side bellows injury.5.
