Background and PurposeAcute peritonitis is a common surgical acute abdominal disease,is one of the abdominal severe infectious disease. Although modern medical technology develops quickly, the mortality of acute peritonitis due to complications are still high. The peritonitis, which we often said in clinical,is mostly secondary peritonitis, common and serious is its characteristics.Especially in older patients, most domestic reported the incidence of complications was up to 50%,the mortality rate was about 14%[1-2],but complications of idiopathic peritonitis relatively less and symptoms also is lighter[3].This paper analyzes the clinical data of 97 patients with acute secondary peritonitis, discusses its etiology identification and clinical features, aims at strengthening understanding, thus effectively reduces the complications, improve patient outcomes.Materials and MethodsRetrospectively summarizes the etiology, clinical characteristics, diagnosis and complications of acute secondary peritonitis, analyzes its complications and influence factors to do a statistical analysis, using SPSS15.0 statistical software for statistical processing of data by percentage,chi-square test, compares the inspection to p < 0.001,p < 0.01 or p < 0.05 for difference with a statistical significance.Results1. The causes of acute secondary peritonitis are numerous, among them appendicitis and duodenal ulcer perforation are most common .Its clinical manifestations presents differently based on the causes and the individual differences, and its complications are much.2.The age difference of acute peritonitis patients compared with the incidence of complications has a statistically significant difference;3.Weather or not coexist diseases of acute peritonitis patients compared with the incidence of complications has a statistically significant difference;4.The time from onset to get treatment of acute peritonitis patients compared with the incidence of complications has a statistically significant difference;5.The time from onset to get operation of acute peritonitis patients compared with the incidence of postoperative complications has a statistically significant difference;6.The age difference of acute peritonitis patients compared with the incidence of hypoalbuminema has a statistically significant difference. Conclusion:Acute peritonitis is a common surgical acute abdominal disease,is one of the abdominal severe infectious disease , common and serious is its characteristics . Although modern medical technology develops quickly , the incidence of complications and mortality remained high.Diagnosis of acute peritonitis is easier but differential diagnosis is difficult. The causes are so many, among which appendicitis and duodenal ulcer perforation is most common, clinical manifestations present different based on the cause, but they lack of specificity. With various auxiliary methods can effectively help diagnosis. Acute secondary peritonitis comes with a lot complication, we should strengthen prevention and treatment . We can effectively reduce the incidence of complications by early medical, early diagnosis, early treatment and early surgery. Meanwhile, whether with coexist diseases also affected the incidence of complications and prognosis of the patients, thus treating the coexist diseases has become the key treatment of acute secondary peritonitis. In addition, this study result shows that in acute secondary peritonitis patient the incidence of malnutrition is high. It must raise the clinical doctors'attention. Explicit nutrition support indication, strengthen nutrition, reasonable nutrition have important clinical significance to the prognosis of patients with acute peritonitis.
