Objective:To evaluate the short-term effects of posterior laminectomy for the ossification of ligamentum flavum (OLF),and Analysis results of follow-up,then the results were analyzed for clinical reference.Methord:By telephone or out-patient appointments and other forms, from June 2008 to February 2011 with posterior laminectomy treatment in in Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of TCM orthopedics spine department. 20 cases, who met the inclusion criteria, had full clinical and follow-up data, were followed up.according to JOA Low Back Pain score and JOA scroe improved rate to assess the preoperative and final follow-up information We use independent samples T test for age, disease course,MRI T2,Canal area residual ratio and symmetry with the JOA score improved rate for statistical analysis. Results: all the case were followed up.JOA preoperative score was( 5.65±1.27 )points(with total of 11 points), the Last follow-up average score was (8.30±2.68)points;the average JOA score improved rate is (53.16±36.30)%. With the JOA scroe improved rate, there were 5 cases"excellent" ,10cases "good",3cases"as fair",2cases"bad"the excellent and good rate is 75%,there was significant statistical difference in JOA scores before and after operation. Conclusion: The MRI T2 changes before the operation, theCanal area residual ratio, and the disease course is the important index to evaluate the effects of posterior laminectomy.there was no correlation between JOA score improved rate and ages...
