| Objective: To investigate the efficacy of Zi yin run chang tang in the treatment of functional constipation. Methods: 60 patients with FC were divided into two groups at random:the treatment group and the control group.The treatment group was given ZYRCT and the control group was given Ma-ren-wan(MRW).Symptoms and signs of each group were observed before and after the treatment. Results: After one course of treatment,significant difference was apparent in the clinical effects:In the treatment group,10 cases recovered and 12 cases significantly improved,(thus the effectual rate is 73.33%),6 cases improved. The total effective rate in the treatment group is 93.33%. In the control group,3 cases recovered and 5 cases significantly improved,(thus the effectual rate is 26.67%),12 cases improved.The total effective rate in the control group is 66.67%.There was statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the treatment group and control guoup(P<0.05).The effective rate from the treatment group is clearly superior.Conclusions:Above all, Zi Yin Run Chang Tang appears to have the significant effect in the treatment of FC with diarrhoea caused by yin xu xue zao.The mechanism of this therapy may be relation to the adjustment of gastrointestinal motility and so on. |
